On April 5, 2007 Sean and Stephanie (O’Connor) Patterson were blessed with twin girls, Cecilia Rae and Georgia Quinn Patterson. Their big sister, Riley, eagerly awaited their arrival home, but shortly after their birth, it became apparent that the girls had serious health concerns and spent the first two months of their lives at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Their first year was spent not in marking milestones, but visiting specialists to determine why they were not developing as they should. Doctors diagnosed them with a rare genetic condition, causing both physical and developmental disabilities. At six years old, Cecilia and Georgia do not speak and cannnot walk.
With this in mind, the For Our Girls Foundation has been established to help meet the challenges that the Pattersons face in providing a home for the girls with full handicap accessibility. READ MORE
